BRENDAN + BECCA’S WAUPACA WEDDING

Becca was one of the most relaxed brides we have ever worked with, (and that is saying something when you are planning your wedding during a global pandemic). It was clear from the start that Becca’s priority was to marry Brendan and for her family to have a good time. And she did just that. The ceremony was to be held at Crystal River Inn Bed and Breakfast, where the couple would also stay that evening. Originally, Becca wanted to have her reception at the Indian Crossing Casino, it’s rustic feel, right on the water, was exactly the laid-back vibe she was looking for. Her ceremony was to be held at Crystal River Inn Bed and Breakfast, where she also would stay that evening. However, throughout the planning process, we had to shift gears a couple of times. What resulted was exactly what Becca was looking for: a quaint outdoor wedding all in one location. Fortunately, a month before the wedding the Crystal River Inn B&B said that they would be able to accommodate not only the ceremony but an outdoor wedding reception as well. We were able to rent a larger tent, making it easier to set up tables and chairs, so that the guests were able to social distance. In the end, the guest count went from 150 guests to around 50 guests.

To be honest, we hadn’t officially met Becca until the day of her wedding! We had talked on the phone throughout the planning process but hadn’t met face to face until the day of. She and Brendan were incredibly gracious. They were so grateful to all the guests who were able to attend and did everything they could to make guests feel comfortable. Becca got ready with friends and family at their nearby family’s condo. Then, in an intimate moment before the ceremony, the couple had a first look before their outdoor ceremony along the river, surrounded by a field of gorgeous flowers.

Directly after the ceremony, Becca and Brendan were able to enjoy the reception with their guests. Rockman’s catered with fun food stations and Main Grain had amazing baked goods that were set out for guests to enjoy. Once the speeches began you really got a feel for who Becca and Brendan are. Becca is licensed counselor and he is a substance abuse counselor. Each speech radiated with the sentiment that Becca and Brendan were completely selfless individuals and couldn’t be more suited for each other. Each had known when they met (matched online) that they were meant to be. Their family and friends said they couldn’t imagine a better person for the other, and you truly felt that the day of. It was such an intimate wedding to be a part of and we could not be happier for them!
