mcnair Door County wedding
We loved being a part of this intimate Door County wedding. Not only was it the cutest barn wedding ever, but the couple’s first song was also written by the groom himself. (And you may have actually heard it!)
Working with Katie + James for their Door County wedding was such a delight! The couple planned their wedding together with their families and hired Kase Styles for florals and event management. Katie spent her summers by the water in picturesque Door County, Wisconsin so it was a no-brainer for them to host their closest friends and family there for their wedding. They decided to keep the wedding intimate and only invite guests that the two of them knew - we love that! Katie + James live in Nashville where Katie works in events and James is a musician so we knew we were in for a treat. Katie’s attention to detail and great taste, combined with the couple’s cool and laid-back attitude made this one for the books! Their event was held at the beautiful Woodwalk Gallery in Egg Harbor.
This barn-turned-gallery has a large mix of dynamic art: paintings, jewelry, sculpture, woodwork, and more that filled the space inside and out. Katie and her bridesmaids were able to get ready in the loft of the barn, while James and the groomsmen had their own space downstairs. Katie + James said their vows just outside the barn surrounded by the beautiful landscape. Guests enjoyed an array of various cheeses and other local tastings during cocktail hour outside, then made their way indoors to the gallery-turned-reception space. The tables were adorned with matching runners, eucalyptus garland, and lush white blooms with hues of blues added throughout.
Katie + James welcomed their guests with their first dance to Lovin’ On You by Luke Combs, written by none other than the groom himself, James McNair!
Dinner was catered by the incredible Chives food truck, who later served wood-fired pizzas as a late-night snack! The Eddie Butts Band kept the party going all night with their eclectic and energetic set, and the night ended with a sparkler exit to a trolly ride back to the lake house.
This wedding was a dream in every way: the couple, the venue, the vendors, and the decor made this day so much fun and such a breeze. Days like this, and all the special moments sprinkled throughout, are the reasons we do what we do!
